Ground Turkey?

Do any of you use ground turkey for real? Instead of hamburger? I know that I use a lot of hamburger and I know it isn't good for us...but what else can I do? I have also heard about meatless crumbles or something made by boca..but is ground turkey really ok to use? I mean can you really not tell a difference?

Spencer and I are in it...I am adding $5 for Spencer into the pot as well. I haven't really been able to start, start...but I am eating less and moving more. Mostly its the same foods that I had before, i don't have money to buy new stuff..but I really, really want to start this and lose some weight. I am tired of it!

Holli, I LOVE ground turkey. It does taste different than ground beef, but it's good!

Ground beef has a lot more fat in it than ground turkey - you can tell when you brown it in your pan by the grease that is in the pan when you cook it.

I always rinse my meat off in hot water in a collander after I am done cooking it.

Honestly, you don't have to go out an buy a ton of healthy foods to start losing weight. Do what you said you are doing, eat less and move more. Make small changes here there, like rinse the fat off your meat after cooking it, drink diet drinks instead of regular. Just cut back your portions. Then you can start incorporating more healthy foods to replace the not-so-healthy ones.

You can do it...I know you can! It's hard I know!
